Tara’s Class have been studying the work of Kandinsky this week. They expressed their emotions through colours and shapes, applying their new knowledge of mixing, tinting and shading colours.

La Befana
Lorraine’s First Class enjoyed a presentation from Bea and Sophia on La Befana, an Italian ‘Little Christmas Celebration’. Bea brought in some of the traditional figures and treats for the class to commemorate it.
A Clown Visit
Carol’s Junior Infants had a very special visit from Sally Sausage on Friday! They were delighted with their balloon creations.
DLD and Me Programme
Tara’s Class made Top Hats to celebrate completing the DLD and Me Programme!
Storyteller
Helena Byrne, Storyteller, visited all the classes in our school last Friday. The children had a great time helping Helena to tell the stories! They really enjoyed it.
Thanksgiving
Lorraine’s First Class enjoyed a presentation on Thanksgiving. They all made turkeys, a symbol of Thanksgiving and created a leaf display. On each leaf they wrote something they were thankful for.
Hot Chocolate
Tara’s Class wrote a recipe and made Hot Chocolate for themselves. A nice treat!
Ready for Winter
The Junior Infant room is ready for Winter. This is their Aistear theme for December. That fireplace certainly looks cosy!
Reindeer!
Carol’s Junior Infants made reindeer using empty toilet roll holders.
Great Union Day
Lorraine’s First Class celebrated Great Union Day for Romania. Bogdan and Alesia came in cultural colours and gave a history of the day. They watched a video on the history and created the Romanian/Moldovan flag. La Multi Ani!
