Making Soup!

Lorraine’s First Class , with help from Anna, used the vegetables they harvested from the allotment to make soup! It was delicious. Fantastic to see the process from beginning to end – these children planted the seeds, looked after them, harvested the vegetables and created a meal!

Harvest in the Allotment

The children were delighted to see that lots of the plants in the allotment are almost ready for harvesting! They found potatoes, raspberries, sage, thyme, mint, courgettes, tomatoes, sugar snap peas, lettuce, cabbages, beetroot and more! Another week or two and everything will be ripe!

Enjoying the Sunshine

With the fabulous weather we have had this week, the children have really been enjoying the sunshine. Even the plants in the allotment needed an extra drink so Tara’s Class have been making sure they were well watered.

Teddy Bears’ Picnic

We had a lovely trip to the park and the playground for a Teddy Bears’ Picnic as our final event of the year. The children (and the bears!) really enjoyed it!

A Feast for a Finale!

We celebrated the last day of Multicultural Week by completing our Class Globes, having a Multinational Parade for the parents and enjoying the amazing range of food from lots of different countries! We were overwhelmed by the fantastic support from our school community who went all out to make today a really special experience for everyone. Thank you to everyone!

Multicultural Week

We are having a fantastic Multicultural Week this week. The children have done so much work on various countries, nationalities and languages. A big thank you to Xabi, Pilar, Carla, Ines, Natalia, Vijayavalli and Anna for the fabulous stories they read to the children in a whole host of different languages today. It was so lovely to see the children enjoying them!

The First Harvest!

The children picked the first little harvest in the allotment today. The excitement! They picked strawberries, sage, mint and some lettuce. Everyone is keen to taste!

Newbridge House and Farm

We had a great time today on our school tour to Newbridge House and Farm. The excitement of the bus, the cuteness of all the baby animals and the pure joy of a day out together! The children were an absolute credit to themselves, we are so proud of them!
